Every July and August, youths of all levels of athletic ability and playing experience
from across Saskatchewan and beyond attend YAS basketball camps
in Regina and Saskatoon.

During a YAS camp, they quickly improve their basketball skills
so that they can later excel on their school basketball teams.

The YAS "Quick and Smart" basketball skills development methods are unique. 
They are derived from the basketball skills program developed by researchers
and educators at the University of Victoria, home of the UVic Vikes, 
perennial Canadian University Basketball Finalists and Champions.

YAS uses the best available equipment. 
Basketballs are supplied by Wilson Sports:
the same "NCAA Solution" and "Evolution" leather balls used in the American
College Basketball "March Madness" and the Final Four Tournament.

Thousands of YAS graduates have played on high school and university teams
across Canada.  Last winter season, YAS graduates were on every
Saskatchewan-based team that played in the prestigious
Luther Invitational Tournament (LIT) in Regina and
the Bedford Road Invitational Tournament (BRIT) in Saskatoon.

YAS graduates were on the rosters of 28 of the teams that played in the
Saskatchewan Provincial High School Hoopla Basketball Championship
Final Tournament held during March, 2010.

11,175 players from 264 different cities and towns have graduated from
YAS summer camps since 1983.

Players from 46 cities and towns graduated from YAS sessions
during July and August 2010.
